II.2) QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope (including all lots and options, if applicable) The periodic testing and inspection of the electrical installation to ensure that it's safe and complies with current wiring standards. Portable Appliance Testing - everything that isn't permanently wired into a fused spur (including extension leads) are checked for safety and compliance with current standards, using approved testing equipment. Emergency lighting - the light fittings are checked for safety and compliance with current standards. The internal batteries or central battery supply are checked to ensure that they can power the fittings for at least 3 hours.Interested bidders are requested to send an email to procurement@basildon.gov.uk as an expression of interest, please state your contact details, full address of company and the company registration number. In response they will receive the pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ). All bidders wishing to be considered for the Invitation to Tender phase must return a completed and duly signed PQQ by Noon on the 22nd November 2010. Selection for the Invitation to Tender (ITT) phase will be as outlined in the pre-qualification questionnaire.
